Almost every conversation about AI starts with a tool. The interesting ones start elsewhere: what do you actually want to improve?
Almost every conversation I've had about AI lately started with a tool. Which one should we use? What are our competitors doing? Shouldn't we be doing something with a chatbot?
Understandable, but the order is wrong. The entrepreneurs who really get somewhere start with a question they've had for years. Where are we losing time? What knowledge lives in just one person's head? What would customers want if it cost nothing extra?
The technology changes every quarter. A good question lasts for years.
Only when that question is clear does the technology become interesting. Then it's easier to see where AI is mostly noise, and where it could genuinely change how a business works.
My advice is simple: write down three questions before looking at a single tool. Chances are the conversation will be much better.
